GIBSON GLEANINGS
Barbara Ray
June 1, 2012
It’s a beautiful Friday morning and our program director Jill and her “band of merry men” are heading down to Boston to board their cruise ship to Bermuda. Yes, I admit it – I’m jealous. It’s been a number of years since I visited that lovely island but the memories of tropical plants, sandy pink beaches and clear blue waters are still with me. Have a wonderful trip folks and bon voyage!
Last week we just found out that we would be losing two of our long time Meals on Wheels drivers. I hear they are moving south and though we hate to see them go, we also wish them well on their new adventure. They’re departure means we will be looking for new drivers for ourBartlett/Jacksonroute. If you think you might spare two/three hours per week to fill this vacancy, please contact the nutrition department at 356-3231.
Despite Jill’s departure (yes, I’m still jealous), the regular programs and activities will still take place next week. There are also a number of day trips listed in the schedule below. If you are interest or have any questions feel free to contact our receptionist, Penny for further information and availability.
Have a wonderful week and God bless!
