GIBSON GLEANINGS

August 24, 2012

I didn’t think I would have the chance to send out a Gleanings this week until ‘someone’ reminded me that there were some important events coming up in the next few days.  I simply can not believe that Labor Day is less then a week away.  Of course you know what that means.  That’s right; our Labor Day Craft Fair will be held this coming Saturday and Sunday September 1st and 2nd from 9:00 to 5:00.  Labor Day is the last hurrah of the summer season for most people so we hope you’ll take this opportunity to join us on the front lawn of the center and enjoy the fair.  Karen has once again lined up some wonderful craftsman with a splendid array of items.  We’ll have our fingers crossed for some good weather and hope you will save some time to attend this fun event.

The dining room will be closed on Wednesday so we can enjoy our annual White Lake Picnic.  It’s a special day at the lake with swimming, card games, music and sing-a-longs.  You can bring your beach chair or your kayak and spend the day.  Lunch is at noon (reservations are required) and the suggested donation is $4.  See you at the lake.  Don’t forget to look for other upcoming programs and trips in the schedule of events below.  Have a wonderful week and God bless!
